What is Tandem?
Tandem is a student-run association created by UBC students in April of 2014. Our aim is to become the trigger of various long-term educational projects through the use of video-calling softwares.
Our project is built upon three key ideas:
1) Each student is matched and paired with a tutor. This Tandem relationship guarantees both tutor and student will help each other grow, that each tutor will fulfill the needs of his/her own student on a long-term basis.
2) The use of video-calling tools enables us to interact with our students regularly and answer their questions instantaneously.
3) We are aware that online tutorials can never fully replace actual schooling. Therefore, we work in close cooperation with local schools in order to enable our students to achieve their true potential.
